Filmmaker/Cinematographer
My name is Callum, a Filmmaker living in Kiama on the NSW coast, with a passion cinematography and storytelling. As I have started my filmmaking career, I have gained experience and knowledge on set for multiple big companies including Mitsubishi & Holden. I specialise, filming in and around the water and up in the sky using a drone, while also being able to light a studio scene.
I have grown up in Kiama and have lived there my entire life, barely missing a day in the ocean, either surfing, diving, swimming or boating. Currently working for Optika Productions as a cinematographer and editor. I have the skills to get the perfect shot and am ALWAYS going out of my way to learn and develop much more, to ultimately showcase the best story!
Underwater Cinematography
I have spent most of my life in the ocean, either diving, surfing, filming and swimming. I believe shooting in and around the water delivers one of the most beautiful and cinematic angles & scenes needed for any project around it. I have spent a lot of time around sharks, whales and large waves and am not afraid to do any of the underwater shooting that could be considered dangerous to most people.
Aerial Cinematography
I use drones to achieve the amazing aerial shots needed in most parts of filmmaking. Drones allow me to capture the world in another angle bringing stories to life. I have over 8 years experience flying drones and have flown in many remote and tricky areas and around many obstacles.
